According to Dr. Zerihun Tesfaye, Emergency and Pediatric Specialist and Head of the Measles Vacation Technical Team, more than 89% of the students in all three campuses and the campus community have been vaccinated so far. He said more than 95% of the three were vaccinated.
Dr. Zerihun added that students and teachers who have not yet been vaccinated should be vaccinated as soon as possible.
Dr. Degu, a senior expert at the Southern Nations, Nationalities and People's Region Health Institute, on his part said the vaccine has a high immunity (over 97%) and called on the entire community to be vaccinated to ensure its safety.
Dilla University Student / Service Director Amanuel Geka thanked the students for their hard work in administering the vaccine and said that the teachers and administrators who have not yet been vaccinated should take responsibility for the remaining hours as students.
Students Meron Debebe and Trudy Anteneh, who were among the students who received the vaccine, told us that they did not have any side effects from the vaccine and advised any unvaccinated university students to get the vaccine.
