The Directorate General of Defense of the Armed Forces has been promoted to the rank of line officer and senior officers who have completed their tenure and have achieved remarkable results.
Lt. Gen. Achalu Sheleme, Head of the Defense Human Resource Development Department of the Defense Union, who was present at the ceremony, congratulated the nominees and said they were happy to see the government and the people fulfill their responsibilities by breaking the backbone of the TPLF.
"Our defense forces perform their duties both individually and collectively for the same purpose," he said. He said the nominees should take advantage of the promotion and get better results.
Among the nominees of the day were Major Getnet Kinde and Lieutenant Abaynesh Yosef; He said he was happy with the promotion, adding that the title given to him to fulfill his duties with determination and loyalty would be a morale booster during his tenure.
General Bacha Debele, the coordinator of the FDRE Defense Forces Construction Works, accepted the government's invitation and thanked the Ethiopian-born artists from North America at his office.

Artist Almaz Tilahun and Artist Desalegn Melaku have formed a North American Washington DC-based organization to raise more than 4.5 million birr to support the war-affected people.
During their stay with the General, the artists performed the association's music titled "Self-Recognition of the Army" and pledged their support in the future alongside the National Guard.
