Immediate service is being provided to Diaspora who are accepting the national call - Customs Commission

The Ethiopian Customs Commission (ERC) announced that it is providing fast service to the Diaspora who have accepted the national invitation and are entering Ethiopia.

Addis Ababa Bole International Airport Customs Office Deputy General Manager of Customs Affairs, Zerael, said that the company is providing a special customs service to passengers entering Ethiopia.

He said a warehouse is being set up in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and other partners to facilitate the delivery of medical supplies and other supplies to passengers.

Ziad Nureta, Coordinator of the Branch International Travel Team, on his part said that 24-hour fast service is being provided by making adequate preparations for the proper reception of guests, coordination with relevant bodies and setting up various committees.

He also called on the Diaspora to contribute their share to the country's sufficient foreign exchange by legalizing the remittances brought to Ethiopia by various countries.

He said the Diaspora from different countries are happy with the warm welcome and quick customs service.

According to the Ministry of Revenue, they are working to create more jobs and export foreign exchange by considering various investment options and investing.
