Khaltu Sani urges all actors in the construction industry to live up to their expectations
The Minister of Urban and Infrastructure, Khaltu Sani, has called on all stakeholders in the construction industry to live up to their expectations.
Opening the National Workshop on Professional Standards and Competency Assessment System organized by the Construction Management Institute, the Minister said the obstacles that hinder the construction industry from meeting its expectations need to be addressed.
"Ethiopia is currently in the throes of an attack by pro-change forces and as a result, a large number of infrastructure and public service facilities have been severely damaged," she said.
"I believe the construction industry will do what it takes to rebuild the infrastructure destroyed by the terrorist and destructive group and accelerate our transformation in Ethiopia," he said.

He said 19 workshops identified in the study have been criticized by eight professional associations in the industry.
The workshop was attended by researchers, trade union leaders and members of the Standing Committee on Urban and Transportation of the House of Peoples' Representatives.
