Kombolcha General Hospital, which was looted and destroyed by the terrorist group, has been partially renovated, said Dr. Tefera Gobeze, Medical Director of the hospital.
The terrorist TPLF has clearly shown its hatred for the public by robbing the hospital of what it can afford and completely destroying what it cannot take.
The day after the area was liberated from the invading group, the hospital has been equipped with emergency equipment for emergency and maternity leave since last week.
He also said that the operation was started with the help of machinery and medicine from Alert Hospital.
Outpatient services have been launched this week, he said. He further said that efforts are underway to start the operation by filling the gaps in medical equipment.
Dr. Tefera pointed out that a committee has been set up for this purpose.
He said more than 90 percent of the hospital staff have recently been recruited to serve the community.
Dr. Kumleh Mesele, Case Coordinator of the Hospital Inpatient Department "The terrorist group destroyed the hospital, but it did not limit our knowledge and motivation," he said.
"We will do everything we can to make the hospital, which we started in earnest, fully operational," he said.
He also said that they are collecting various inputs in addition to cleaning the hospital area by coordinating with the community.
"I have no doubt that we will sooner or later embarrass our society by providing better medical care," he said.
Awel Mohammed, a resident of Kombolcha, said: He said he was pleased that the hospital had started operating in a short period of time. He further said that they are ready to support and coordinate the hospital to the best of their ability.
"Even though the TPLF, which is inhumane, has damaged our hospital, we will continue to do our best," he said.
The Kombolcha General Hospital, which was completed last year after a ten-year delay, is expected to serve more than one million locals.
