The agency has signed an agreement with the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange to work together on information security
The Information Network Security Agency has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange (ECX) to work together in the field of information technology and information security.
The Director General of the Information Network Security Agency, Dr. Shumete Gizaw, said the main responsibility of the proclamation is to safeguard the country's information infrastructure.
He also said that ensuring the security of important national institutions such as the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange is a priority of the Agency.
He said the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange (ECX) needs to be secured so as not to be hampered by the flow of information.
Director General of the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange, Wondmagegne Negera, on his part said the signing of the agreement with the Agency will play an important role in the development of the African Center of Excellence and the future of the Commodity Exchange.
According to the Agency, more than 25 million people in the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange will benefit from direct and indirect trading and trade worth 40 billion birr annually.
