Safe Ethiopia Association and various sections of the community donated in kind to the Defense Forces. Safety Ethiopia in Atlanta has donated 1,000 cartons of women's sanitary ware worth over 800,000 birr to the Defense Forces.

Frew Nigatu and others living in the United States; Samson and Senait, an Ethiopian-born family living in Germany; Support Coordinating Artist Elias Wosenyeleh, called on everyone to stand by the Ethiopian Defense Forces. For his part, Dr.
Frew said, "We have nothing to lose to the Defense Forces." The Head of the Defense Resettlement Department, Lt. Ermias Desalegn, thanked various sections of the community for their support to the Defense Forces.
Major Tewoldeberhan Atsbeha, head of the battalion's operations unit, said the fire was started at the Dari market by the 23rd Motorized Peacekeeping Battalion.
He said Dari Market is one of the largest shopping malls in the region and that a large number of businesses have been rescued from the blaze. Dash Area Youth Coordinator, Awish Harashi, said the fire was contained in the Dari market.
It was learned that members of the battalion were involved in extinguishing the fire and 40,000 liters of water was used.
